Kids and Kites Festival
If you're traveling to Chicago with your family this spring, plan your trip around the 20th Annual Kids and Kites Festival. Even if you don't plan to fly a kite, you'll be able to watch professional kite flyers, buy kites from vendors, and take in amazing skyline views. Since Cricket Hill is less than a ten-minute walk from Montrose Beach, you can also treat your pupper to Chicago's premier dog-friendly beach as a flurry of kites soars overhead.

Chicago Craft Beer Week
Over the past decade, Chicago has emerged as one of the world's premier beer destinations, and Chicago Craft Beer Week puts a spotlight on the city's thriving brewing scene. Throughout craft beer week, bars and restaurants throughout Chicagoland host special tappings, tap takeovers, and pairing dinners. If you're a beer nerd, you won't want to miss the Illinois Craft Brewers Guild's Beer Under Glass event, which showcases the state's best breweries in the gorgeous Garfield Park Conservatory.

Bike the Drive
Once a year, the amazingly beautiful Lake Shore Drive transforms from a scenic, urban highway into the city's most phenomenal bike path. Over the course of five hours, you'll be able to take a two-wheel joyride down LSD, take in the Chicago skyline, and gaze upon the magnificent Lake Michigan.
If you're planning to Bike the Drive, we recommend registering early as prices incrementally rise throughout the spring.
May 27, 2018 | Lake Shore Drive | $43.00 - $66.00
Chicago International Movies & Music Festival Spring Fling Thing
Unlike CIMM's citywide takeover each November, their annual Spring Fling Thing is a small, more intimate, more localized event. Over the course on an April weekend, the Chicago International Movies & Music Festival curates a schedule of film, music, performance art, panel discussions, and (of course) an epic closing night party. While the Spring Fling Thing may be a fraction of the size of the CIMM Festival, it creates an equally thoughtful, immersive, and unique art experience.

Fifth Annual 26th Annual Comedy Festival
When The Onion curates a comedy festival, you know you're in store for an amazing week of ridiculously hilarious stand-up and sketch performances. While the 2018 lineup has not been announced, previous acts include John Mulaney, Patton Oswalt, Tig Notaro, Eugene Mirman, Sarah Silverman, and Weird Al.
Events are booked at venues across the city and are individually ticketed, giving you the opportunity to strike the perfect balance between world-class comedy and Chicago exploration.
